REGISTRATION

Registration opens on 1st of May.

Your registration will be confirmed only once payment has been received. The registration fee is the same whether or not you submit an abstract.

ABSTRACTS AND ORAL/POSTER PRESENTATION

If you submit an abstract, you may indicate your preferred presentation format (oral or poster). Oral presentation slots are allocated by the Scientific Committee, and applicants will be notified of the outcome on 1 September. Abstracts not selected for oral presentation will automatically be considered for poster presentation.

Only abstracts presenting original work will be eligible for oral presentation within the scientific sessions. Participants who do not have original results but nevertheless wish to present are welcome to submit an abstract for poster presentation.

BEFORE REGISTERING, PLEASE PREPARE:

  • Proof of status (discount categories only): upload one of the following: a valid student ID, an enrolment certificate, or an employment verification letter. Accepted formats: PDF, JPG, PNG.

The abstract for ICMB 2026 must contain:

  • Paper Title (Times New Roman, 16 pt.)
  • Author/Co-authors list and Affiliation (Times New Roman, 12 pt., Italic for affiliation) (name of poster/talk presenter author has to be underlined)
  • Abstract itself (maximum 300 wordsTimes New Roman, 12pt.)
  • Keywords (3-5 keywords or phrases in alphabetical order, separated by commas – Times New Roman, 12 pt., Italic)
  • References (if needed)

Language of the abstract: English

 

An abstract of a scientific paper is a concise summary of the entire content of the paper and must fulfill certain essential characteristics in order to be considered complete and well-written.

 

A well-written abstract is essential to provide a quick understanding of the value of the research presented so what we want from your abstract are the following:

  1. Clarity and brevity
  • The abstract should be written in clear, unambiguous language and use a concise style.
  • The length should be maximum 300 words.
  1. Logical structure

This includes:

  • Introduction: the general context of the study and why it is important.
  • Objective: What specific problem has been addressed.
  • Methodology: A summary of the methods or techniques used.
  • Results: The most important findings of the study.
  • Conclusions: The main implications and relevance of the findings.
  1. Relevance
  • The abstract should faithfully reflect the content of the paper.
  • It is important not to introduce information that is not developed in the main text.
  1. Autonomy
  • The abstract should be complete enough to be understood without reading the entire paper.
  • Avoid references to figures, tables or literature cited in the paper.
  1. Academic language
  • Use professional language without grammatical or stylistic mistakes.
  • Avoid excessive jargon and unfamiliar abbreviations.
  1. Keywords
  • A keyword section to aid indexing and thematic identification attached at the end of the abstract (minimum 3-5 keywords or phrases in alphabetical order, separated by commas)
  1. Specific publication requirements
  • The topic should be within the main areas of the conference.

To ensure that your poster will be eye-catching, effective, professional and sufficiently informative, we have decided to present you some of the characteristics it should fulfill:

  1. Clear and logical structure
  • Title: Short, clear and attractive, reflecting the research content.
    – Usually centrally located (no more than 10-15 words).
    – If the title is too general, you can add a Subtitle.
  • Authors and Affiliations: Include all authors’ names, institutional affiliations and possibly a contact address (e.g: first author’s email).
    Position: immediately below the title;
    Format: First and last name for each author;
    Affiliations listed by numbers or symbols (e.g: ¹University X, ²Hospital Y);
    Correspondence: Underline the name of the main author and provide an email address.
  • Introduction: Context and importance of the topic.
    – Provide the general context of the research and justify the relevance of the topic by answering the question:” Why is this study important?”
    – Format: 3-5 short sentences
  • Objectives: Explain what questions or problems you want to solve.
  • Methods: A brief description of the methodology used.

Recommended structure: 

  • Study design (e.g: clinical, observational, experimental).
  • Study population (e.g: number of participants, characteristics, type of population analyzed).
  • Procedures (e.g: treatments, data collection).
  • Statistical analyses used.
  • Results: Present the main findings, preferably with graphs, tables or pictures.
    – Use bar charts, line graphs or representative images (e.g: MRI, microscopy).
    – Minimal text: Briefly explain what each graph or table represents.
  • Conclusions: Brief, relevant and well supported by results.
    – Highlights the main findings.
    – Suggest how the results could be applied in practice.
    – Mention possible limitations of the study.
  • References: Include some essential references in a concise format (3-5 relevant references).
  • Thanks: Optional, to acknowledge funding or peer support.
  • Funders (e.g: grants).
  • Colleagues or institutions that supported the research/project.
  1. Design and Aesthetics
  • Size: Following the conference specifications (A0 format, portrait orientation)
  • Fonts: Clarity and readability (e.g: headline 85-100pt, subheadings 50-60pt, main text 24-32pt).
  • Colors: Limited color palette that is harmonious and allows good contrast for text and images.
  • High quality images: Graphs, charts and images should be clear and have sufficient resolution (minimum 300 dpi).
  • Spacing: Spaced text, use white space to avoid clutter.

The design is organized in columns (2-3 columns are standard), with all essential elements included: introduction, objectives, methods, results, conclusions and references.

  1. Scientific Content
  • Clarity: Use simple and precise language; avoid excessive jargon.
  • Relevance: Include only essential information.
  • Viewing: Graphs and tables should be self-explanatory and complement the text.
  1. Interaction and Accessibility
  • QR code: You can add a QR code leading to the full article or additional data.
  • Layout: Important information should be placed top and center to attract attention.
  • Accessibility: Make sure the text and graphics can be read from a distance of about 1-2 meters.
  1. Compliance with Conference Rules

STEPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL REGISTRATION:

Step 1: Download the abstract template.

Step 2: Prepare your abstract – Make sure that everything is in its place and in accordance with the requirements if you decide to submit an abstract.

Step 3: Prepare all the payment and billing details – credit/debit card details or invoice information, including organisation name, billing address, VAT number (for EU countries – provide the European number) and PO/reference number (if required by your institution). For the categories eligible for a discount, please prepare a proof for your status – a valid student ID, an enrollment certificate, or an employment verification letter.

Step 4: Complete the payment and save the order ID (for online payment) or the confirmation (for bank transfers).

Step 5: Fill in the registration form with all the required information (have your discount code ready). Please mention your preferred presentation format (oral or poster). Also, please note that abstracts that will not be selected for oral presentation will automatically be considered for poster presentation.

Please check the box below to give the Association for Science and Research (Asociația pentru Știință și Cercetare) the right to make them publicly available. In case you do not want to appear in the photos, please let us know by sending an email in due time to icmb2026@stiinta-cercetare.ro. Removal of certain photos/videos will be possible after public posting if a low number of people are present in the photo.

    2. Would you like to receive our news during the conference preparation (you will be announced about new speakers, deadlines, updates of the event etc.)

By checking the box, you consent to the processing of your personal data by the Association for Science and Research (Asociația pentru Știință și Cercetare) for the purpose of ensuring your participation in the International Conference: Molecular Biology- Current Aspects and Prospects 2026 (ICMB2026).
